Day 5: Stand Firm and Resist

Reading: 1 Peter 5:8-11 and Ephesians 6:10-12

The enemy does not announce himself. He lurks, watches, and waits for the moment your guard is down. Peter's warning is urgent: be alert, be sober-minded, because your adversary is actively seeking someone to devour. But the warning does not end in fear. It ends in promise. The God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory, will Himself restore you, make you strong, firm, and steadfast. Your struggle is not ultimately against people or circumstances. It is against spiritual forces that can only be overcome through the power of God. You are not equipped to fight this battle alone, and you were never meant to be. Resist the enemy by standing firm in faith, and he will flee.

Reflection: Where has fear or the enemy's schemes recently pulled you away from trust in God? What would it look like to resist rather than retreat?

Practical Application: Put on the full armor of God as described in Ephesians 6 by praying through each piece deliberately today. Ask God for alertness, courage, and the firm faith to stand no matter what comes against you this week.
