Day 1: Rooted in the Right Place
Reading: Colossians 2:6-7
Every living thing is shaped by what it is rooted in. A tree drawing from polluted soil will eventually show it. The same is true of the human soul. When bitterness takes root, it quietly reshapes the way you speak, respond, and see the world around you. But Scripture calls you to something different -- to be rooted and built up in Christ, overflowing with thankfulness. Thankfulness is not denial of pain. It is a deliberate choice to anchor yourself in who God is rather than what circumstances have produced. Today, examine your roots honestly. What are you drawing from? Redirect your soul toward Christ.
Personal Reflection: What attitudes or thought patterns in your daily life suggest your roots may be drawing from bitterness rather than from Christ?
Practical Application: Write down three specific things you are genuinely thankful for today. Keep the list somewhere visible as a daily reminder of where your roots belong.
