Day 4: Walking in Simple Obedience

Reading: Proverbs 3:5-6; James 1:12

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. This is perhaps one of the most challenging commands in Scripture because we naturally want to figure everything out first. But God's ways are higher than ours. He asks us to trust Him in the details—not just the big decisions but the daily obediences. Go make that phone call. Go extend that forgiveness. Go give what He's asked you to give. Simple obedience in small things prepares us for greater assignments. The teacher is silent during the test, but He hasn't abandoned you. Blessed is the one who remains steadfast under trial, for when tested and proven, you'll receive the crown of life. Stop trying to navigate by your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths—not just point them out but actively guide you through them.
