Day 4: The Warning We Cannot Afford to Ignore
Reading: Romans 1:28-32; Proverbs 14:12; Matthew 7:21-23
One of the most sobering realities in Scripture is that a path can feel entirely right and still lead to destruction. Culture will always offer a version of life that looks reasonable, even appealing, but is quietly moving away from God. When a person persistently turns from the knowledge of God, Scripture describes a sobering consequence -- God gives them over to the direction they have chosen. This is not cruelty. It is the weight of the freedom God grants. The warning exists not to frighten you into paralysis but to awaken you to urgency. Hell is real. Eternity is real. And today is still a day of grace.
Reflection: Are there areas where you have been approving of or quietly agreeing with what God's Word clearly calls wrong? What would it mean to take a genuine stand on Scripture in those areas?
Practical Application: Identify one area where cultural pressure has caused you to drift from a clear biblical conviction. This week, find one passage of Scripture that speaks directly to that area and commit it to memory as an anchor for your thinking.
