Day 5: New Every Morning -- Start Again Today
Reading: Lamentations 3:22-23; Ephesians 3:16-19; 2 Timothy 4:6-8
The finish line Paul describes in 2 Timothy -- the fought fight, the finished race, the kept faith -- did not happen in a single dramatic moment. It was the accumulation of ten thousand mornings where he chose to begin again. God's mercies are not recycled. They are new. Every morning brings a fresh supply of compassion, a renewed invitation to walk with Him, and another opportunity to start well. You may have wandered. You may have drifted far. You may have let seasons of life bury the path God laid out for you. But the path is still there. The sidewalk is under the overgrowth. Begin digging. One prayer at a time, one step of faith at a time, one morning at a time -- God will restore what was lost and fill you to the fullness of all that He is.
Reflection: What has kept you from fully starting -- or restarting -- your walk with Christ? What would one genuine step of faith look like for you today?
Practical Application: Pray the prayer of Ephesians 3:16-19 over yourself each morning this week. Ask God to strengthen you in your inner being, to root you in His love, and to fill you with the fullness of who He is. Then take one concrete step of obedience that you have been postponing.
