Day 4: The Humility That Opens the Door to Healing

Reading: 2 Kings 5:1-14

Naaman arrived with treasure, reputation, and expectations. He had already decided in his mind how God should work on his behalf. When the instructions came and they did not match his vision of a proper miracle, he nearly walked away from his own healing. Pride is one of the most effective barriers between a person and the grace of God. It disguises itself as dignity, self-sufficiency, and reasonable expectation. But the Jordan River was waiting. Seven dips in muddy water stood between Naaman and a completely restored body. The step that looks foolish to your pride may be the exact step God is asking you to take. Humble yourself. Take it.
