Day 4: Speaking Life in Due Season

Reading: Galatians 6:9-10; Proverbs 18:21

"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap a harvest." God works in seasons, and His timing is perfect. Yet how often do our words discourage others who are in the waiting season, trusting God for breakthrough? Death and life are in the power of the tongue. You have the ability to speak life into someone's weary soul or to crush their faith with doubt and negativity. Consider those around you who are believing God for healing, provision, or direction. Are your words building their faith or undermining it? Choose today to be an encourager, speaking words seasoned with salt that strengthen rather than discourage. Your faithful words may be the very thing that helps someone persevere until their harvest comes.
