Day 3: Seeking One Thing
Reading: Psalm 27:1-14
David wrote this psalm surrounded by enemies, facing opposition on every side. Yet in the middle of it all, he narrowed his focus to a single pursuit: dwelling in the presence of God. When life grows complicated and the weight of opposition presses in, the temptation is to multiply your strategies and exhaust yourself with solutions. David's response was the opposite. He sought one thing. He turned his eyes toward the Lord and found that God was his light, his salvation, and his stronghold all at once. Simplify your focus today. Seek His face above every other answer you are looking for.
Reflection: Has the noise of your circumstances crowded out your desire to simply be in God's presence? What would it look like to seek Him first today?
Practical Application: Set aside ten minutes today with no agenda other than to sit quietly before God. No requests. No lists. Simply acknowledge who He is and let His presence be enough.
