Day 3: Becoming Less So He Becomes Greater

Reading: John 3:26-36; Psalm 42:1-2

John the Baptist understood his role perfectly: decrease so Christ could increase. Like peeling an onion, God removes layers of self-reliance, pride, and control until only Christ remains at our core. This process makes us more sensitive to His will, more dependent on His strength. It's uncomfortable—even tearful at times—but necessary for spiritual maturity. Are you resisting this process? The more of yourself you release, the more of God you receive. He gives the Spirit without limit to those who surrender without reservation. Like a deer panting for water, let your soul thirst for God alone. Don't settle for ankle-deep faith when an ocean of His presence awaits.
