Day 2: When God Seems Silent in Your Suffering

Reading: Matthew 11:1-6

John the Baptist sat in prison having announced the very Messiah he now doubted. His circumstances had shaken his confidence. This is not a failure of faith but a moment of raw humanity. When life does not unfold the way we expected, even the most devoted hearts begin to wonder. Jesus did not rebuke John for asking. He simply pointed to the evidence of what God was already doing all around him. The blind were seeing. The lame were walking. The dead were rising. When your circumstances cloud your vision, look for the evidence of God's activity in the lives around you. He is still working.

Practical Application: Make a list today of three specific ways you have seen God work in the past year, whether in your own life or in the lives of people close to you. Return to that list the next time doubt begins to settle in.
