Day 2: The Try Me Prayer

Reading: Psalm 139:23-24; Psalm 51:10-17

"Search me, O God, and know my heart." This is a bold, vulnerable prayer. We often hide our inner struggles, hoping no one—not even God—will see our offensive ways, anxious thoughts, or grumbling hearts. But God desires truth in our innermost being.

Here's the beautiful paradox: God doesn't want your perfect performance. He wants your broken spirit. "A broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise." When you come honestly before Him with all your mess, He doesn't reject you—He restores you. He takes your shattered pieces and makes something beautiful.

Today, pray the "try me" prayer. Ask God to reveal what you've been holding back. Confess the complaints, the distrust, the self-reliance. He's waiting to set you free.

Reflection: Are you willing to let God examine your heart? What might He find?
