Day 5: Walking Humbly Back to God

Reading: Micah 6:8; James 4:6-10; Psalm 119:97-100

The path of wisdom ultimately leads back to one place: humble surrender before God. Micah 6:8 describes what God requires in three phrases: act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God. Not walk ahead of Him. Not walk beside Him on your own terms. Walk humbly with Him. Solomon's greatest failure was not that he became foolish. It was that he became divided. He still knew God but was no longer fully devoted to Him. God is calling divided hearts back to full devotion today. He receives without finding fault. He restores without conditions. The only thing standing between you and that restoration is the willingness to take the first step back toward Him.

Reflection: Is your heart fully devoted to God, or have you allowed it to become divided between His ways and your own?

Practical Application: Spend time in honest prayer today confessing any area where your heart has wandered. Surrender it specifically and completely to God, trusting that He is faithful to restore what has been lost.
