Day 5: The Potter and the Clay
Reading: Isaiah 64:8; Jeremiah 18:1-6; Romans 9:20-21
Devotional: We are God's handiwork, created to do good works He prepared in advance. Yet how often do we wrestle control from the Potter's hands, deciding our own direction, pace, and purpose? Like a clay pot telling the potter, "Put me down—I'll decide when and how I'm used," we resist His shaping. Growth is hard. Being formed hurts. The wheel keeps spinning and His hands keep pressing. But the Potter became pottery for us—Jesus took on flesh, experienced our limitations, and was broken so we could be made whole. Stop pottering your own life. Surrender to His hands. Let Him transform you into the image of His Son. The vessel He's creating is far better than anything you could shape yourself.
