Day 5: Still Standing Is Victory
Reading: Joshua 7:10-13; 1 Kings 19:11-13
"Stand up. What are you doing down on your face?" God's words to Joshua echo through time to us. Sometimes we need the reminder: you're still here, still believing, still worshiping—that's already victory. Standing doesn't always mean smiling. Sometimes it simply means surviving until the storm passes. You've cried through nights yet found strength to stand again. What was meant to destroy you only made you stronger. God measures maturity not by how fast you move but how firm you remain. When Elijah hid in the cave, God called him out to stand and listen for the gentle whisper. Today, if you're weary and wondering where God is, hear Him say: "Stand. I haven't forgotten you. I've been faithful before; I'll be faithful again." Your standing is your testimony that His grace keeps you upright.
