Day 5: Grace Upon Grace

Reading: Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:16; James 4:10

Salvation isn't earned through your efforts—it's received through His grace. "Out of His fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given." Grace upon grace. Abounding grace. There's no shortage in God. When you feel empty or lacking, it's not because God has run out; it's because you haven't fully received. Many approach God with a formula: my abilities plus my experience plus my training equals my assignment. But God's mathematics are different: your willingness and weakness plus God's supernatural power equals expanding territory. Stop trying to qualify yourself. Humble yourself before the Lord, and He will lift you up. Come in your weakness, not your strength. Bring your inadequacy, not your résumé. The fruit of the Spirit grows in surrendered soil, not self-sufficient ground. Today, receive grace upon grace. Stop working for what's freely given and start living from what's been graciously provided.

Reflection Question: Where are you still trying to earn what God has already freely given you through grace?

Closing Prayer for the Week:

Lord, increase my spiritual capacity. Empty me of all that hinders Your fullness. Break the chains of my past, remove the limitations I've accepted, and fill me to overflowing with Your presence. Help me remember You in every season, dwell with me permanently, and teach me to live by grace rather than striving. I surrender the throne of my life to You. Make me a vessel that produces fruit for Your kingdom, generation after generation. In Jesus' name, Amen.
