Day 5: Following the Example of Christ

Reading: Philippians 3:17-21; 1 Corinthians 11:1

"Follow my example as I follow the example of Christ." Can you say that with confidence? Paul could, not because he was perfect, but because he was pursuing Christ with everything in him. Our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await our Savior who will transform us. Until that day, we're called to live as examples—in conduct, in speech, in love, in faith, in purity. The details matter. Parking in the back row so visitors get the best spots matters. Guarding your words online matters. Serving when no one's watching matters. These aren't just nice gestures—they're the evidence of a transformed life. Today, examine your life honestly. Does it reflect Christ? Are there areas of compromise you need to surrender? Ask God to transform you so completely that the old life doesn't fit anymore. Then live so boldly that you can say to others: "Follow me as I follow Christ."
