Day 5: Coming to Our Senses

Reading: 2 Timothy 2:22-26

"Flee...pursue...be kind...gently instruct"—these aren't suggestions but survival instructions. The enemy has set traps, and offense is one of his most effective snares. When we're trapped in bitterness, we're "taken captive to do his will," unable to fulfill God's purposes. Paul's question echoes through time: "Are you still so dull?" Are we so hardened that we can't hear God's call to surrender our right to be offended? Coming to our senses means recognizing that our lives aren't our own—we've been bought with a price. What controlled us yesterday doesn't have to control us today. The things we've endured aren't meant to embitter us but to become ministry for others facing similar battles. Today is your day of freedom. Say goodbye to yesterday's hurts. Stop dancing on the grave of past offenses and start dancing on the grave of the old you—the one who couldn't forgive. You've been born again. Live like it.
