Day 5: Blessed Through the Valley
Reading: Luke 7:18-23
John the Baptist, who leaped in the womb at Jesus' presence and announced the Messiah's arrival, found himself imprisoned and questioning. "Are you the one?" he asked from his cell. Jesus' response didn't explain the suffering but pointed to the evidence: the blind see, the lame walk, the dead are raised. Then He added, "Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me." Faith isn't the absence of questions but trust despite them. The God of the mountain is the God of the valley. When circumstances don't make sense, when prayers seem unanswered, when you're walking through your own prison, remember: Jesus is still performing miracles. He's still delivering, healing, and setting captives free. Your current situation doesn't negate His faithfulness. Blessed are you when you refuse to be offended by His timing or methods, trusting that He remains more than enough even in the valley.
