Day 4: The Sacrifice of Praise

Reading: Hebrews 13:15; Psalm 34:1-8

"Through Jesus, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise." Why sacrifice? Because praise is easy when life is good—when bills are paid, health is strong, relationships are thriving. But sacrificial praise comes when nothing makes sense, when the medical report is devastating, when finances are crumbling, when you're walking through the valley.

Sacrificial praise says: "I will extol the Lord at all times. His praise will always be on my lips"—even when I'm afflicted, even when I'm afraid, even when I don't understand. This is when you declare, "Taste and see that the Lord is good!" not because you feel it, but because you know His character.

God invites you: "Try me. Experience me. Call on me." When you offer praise in the storm, you're proclaiming that God is bigger than your circumstances.

Reflection: What situation requires sacrificial praise from you today?
