Day 4: Coming as a Child

Reading: Matthew 19:13-15

The disciples thought children were interruptions to Jesus' important ministry. How wrong they were! Jesus welcomed them, blessed them, and declared that the kingdom belongs to "such as these." What does it mean to come to God as a child? It means approaching Him with humility, trust, and wonder—without the cynicism and self-reliance that hardens adult hearts. Over time, we become jaded, calculating, and self-protective. But Jesus calls us to rediscover childlike faith: believing without reservation, trusting without conditions, and receiving His kingdom as pure gift. Have you lost that joy?

Reflection: What has made your faith feel heavy or complicated? What would it look like to approach God with childlike trust today?

Application: Spend time in worship today, allowing yourself to express joy and wonder without self-consciousness.
