Day 3: The Danger of Forbidden Fruit

Reading: Genesis 2:15-17; 3:1-13; Psalm 19:7-11

Devotional: Eve had 360 degrees of abundance surrounding her, yet she turned to look at the one thing forbidden. The enemy's strategy hasn't changed—he still whispers that God's boundaries exist to keep you from something good. But notice the immediate result of disobedience: shame, fear, hiding, and broken relationship with God. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. His commands are radiant, giving light to the eyes. Every choice you make either brings God glory or reveals prideful rebellion. What forbidden fruit are you looking at today? What has God clearly called you away from that you're rationalizing as "not that bad"? True vision comes from obedience, not from eating what God forbids. Turn your eyes back to the abundance He's already given.
