Day 3: Letting Peace Rule
Reading: Colossians 3:15-16
The word "rule" in this passage comes from the Greek "brabeuo," meaning to umpire or referee. God's peace is designed to call the shots in your life, to moderate your emotions and decisions like a referee keeping the game in order. But notice the word "let"—this requires your cooperation. You must give God's peace permission to govern your heart. When detrimental emotions attempt to control you, you can choose to let God's supernatural peace rise up and take charge. Today, practice letting God's peace referee your responses. When frustration, fear, or anxiety surface, stop and deliberately set your heart on Jesus. Let His peace make the call.
