Day 3: Endurance Through Resistance

Reading: James 1:12-15; Hebrews 10:19-25

Spiritual growth requires resistance, just as physical strength requires weight training. God blesses those who patiently endure testing—not those who avoid it. The trees with the deepest roots are those most blown by wind. When you face trials, remember you're not being punished but strengthened. The Christian life isn't about bypassing struggles but gaining victory through them. Temptation reveals what controls your heart, drawing you away by your own desires. This is where honest self-examination becomes crucial. Stop blaming circumstances or others; look in the mirror and invite God's transforming work. The crown of life awaits those who persevere, not those who quit when resistance comes. Your current struggle is developing the root system that will sustain you for years to come.

Reflection Question: What current struggle might God be using to deepen your spiritual roots and strengthen your faith?
