Day 2: The Fruit That Covers Everything

Reading: Galatians 5:19-26

Many believers quietly negotiate with the fruit of the Spirit, treating certain qualities as optional based on personality. Some feel they are not naturally patient, so they excuse impatience. Others feel they are not naturally gentle, so they let harshness go unchecked. But the fruit of the Spirit is singular -- a complete, all-inclusive work that God produces in the life of someone surrendered to Him. You are not expected to manufacture these qualities on your own. You are expected to stay connected to the Vine. When you remain in step with the Spirit, the fruit grows naturally from that closeness.
