Day 5: Speaking Life, Not Death
Reading: Proverbs 18:21; Luke 6:43-45
Your tongue holds the power of life and death, and you will eat the fruit of your words. What are you speaking over your circumstances? Words of doubt, fear, and defeat? Or words of faith, hope, and victory? What flows from your mouth reveals what fills your heart. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit. If bitterness, envy, or unbelief occupy your heart's treasury, those toxins will poison your words and actions. But when you guard your heart with God's truth, life-giving words naturally overflow. Today, take inventory of your speech. Are you speaking doubt or faith? Death or life? Repent of negative, faithless words. Begin declaring God's promises over your life. Fill your heart's treasury with Scripture, worship, and thanksgiving. Then watch as words of life transform your perspective, your circumstances, and ultimately your destiny. You'll reap what you speak.
