Day 5: Holy Forever

Reading: Revelation 4:1-11

"Day and night they never stop saying: 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.'" Holiness is God's defining attribute—His complete otherness, His absolute perfection, His transcendent glory. When we declare "Holy forever," we acknowledge that His character never changes, His promises never fail, and His throne never totters. "A thousand generations falling down in worship to sing the song of ages to the Lamb." Our worship today joins an eternal chorus that spans from creation to consummation. This perspective transforms our momentary troubles into light and momentary afflictions. Whatever you face today exists within the context of God's eternal holiness and unchanging nature. Let worship lift your eyes from temporal struggles to the eternal throne where He reigns holy forever.
