Day 4: The Lifter of Your Head

Reading: Psalm 3; Joshua 7:10-13

When Joshua fell on his face in defeat, God's response was startling: "Stand up! What are you doing down on your face?" After all God had done, after all the victories won, why was Joshua prostrate in despair? God is the lifter of our heads. He doesn't want us living face-down in defeat, replaying our failures. One setback doesn't erase His faithfulness. When fear, failure, or circumstances knock you down, remember who your God is. He's the One who sustained you through every previous trial. He's your shield, your glory, the One who answers when you call. Stand up. Lift your head. You serve a God who goes before you, who fights for you, who has never abandoned you. Don't let one moment of defeat define you when you serve the God of countless victories.
