Day 4: Healing Beyond Comfort Zones

Reading: Mark 8:22-26; 2 Kings 5:1-14

Jesus led the blind man outside the village—away from familiar surroundings, away from comfort. Naaman had to wash in a river he considered inferior, seven times, in a way that offended his dignity. Both men received healing, but only after being moved beyond their comfort zones. What healing is waiting for you on the other side of obedience? Perhaps God is asking you to attend that prayer meeting, go forward for prayer, join that small group, or have that difficult conversation. Like Naaman, you might be thinking, "Can't God do it another way?" Yes, He can—but He's chosen this way for your transformation. The process itself is part of the healing. Don't let pride, fear, or preference rob you of what God wants to do. Whatever uncomfortable step He's asking you to take, trust that His methods are perfect, even when they don't match your expectations.
