Day 3: The King Who Brings Peace

Reading: Zechariah 9:9-10

Five hundred years before Jesus entered Jerusalem, the prophet Zechariah foretold a king who would ride on a donkey, not a war horse. This detail matters profoundly. In the ancient world, leaders rode horses to war but donkeys in peace. Our Savior didn't come to establish an earthly kingdom through violence; He came to bring peace through surrender. We often look for warrior-leaders to solve our problems, missing the Prince of Peace standing before us. Jesus removes chariots, war horses, and battle bows—not through military might, but through transformed hearts. His rule extends from sea to sea, not through conquest, but through love. Today, stop seeking peace through worldly means. True peace arrived in Jesus and lives within you through His Spirit.
