Reading: Psalm 119:9-11; Galatians 5:16-17
The psalmist understood something profound -- that the Word of God is not merely information to be studied but a treasure to be hidden deep within the heart. When Scripture takes root internally, it becomes an active defense against temptation. Galatians makes clear that the flesh and the Spirit are in constant conflict. You do not drift into spiritual victory. You pursue it deliberately by walking in the Spirit, which requires regular, intentional engagement with God's Word. The guardrail of Scripture is only effective if it has been placed in your life before the danger arrives.
Reflection: How much of God's Word do you carry with you daily, not in your hand but in your heart?
Practical Application: Choose one verse this week to memorize. Write it on a card, place it somewhere visible, and return to it every morning until it becomes part of how you think.
