Day 1: The Illusion of Control

Reading: Proverbs 3:5-6

We spend so much energy trying to control our circumstances, relationships, and futures. Yet Scripture calls us to trust God with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. The Hebrew word "yadah" means to truly know God—not just know about Him, but to intimately experience His character and faithfulness. When we acknowledge Him in all our ways, He promises to direct our paths. Today, identify one area where you're clinging to control. What would it look like to truly know God in that situation rather than relying on your own understanding? Surrender begins with honest acknowledgment that your illusion of control isn't working.
