Day 1: Face Your Reality
Reading: Ezekiel 18:1-4, 19-20
The Israelites wanted to blame previous generations for their exile, but God confronted them with truth: each person is responsible for their own choices. It's easier to justify our struggles by pointing to family patterns—"My dad had anger issues, so I do too"—but this keeps us enslaved. Today, God invites you to stop hiding behind excuses and face your reality with honesty. What generational pattern have you been justifying? Confession is the first step toward freedom. When you acknowledge your own responsibility without blame-shifting, you position yourself to receive God's transforming power. The person who sins is the one responsible, but also the one who can choose differently. Face it honestly today.
